Ready to throw in the towel?
You are not the first. And you won’t be the last.
Many have traveled down the road of entrepreneurship (or discipleship) and given up half way.
It’s a road filled with uncertainties and adventures.
You need to be ever alert and adapt to the changing environment.
But if you give up now, you would have wasted half your effort (or maybe more).
Weekend Reflection:
A few questions to reflection on:
- What made you start the journey in the first place?
- What would it mean for you to “arrive”?
- What’s stopping you from moving forward?
- What can you do to overcome that?
Time to put on your growth mindset.
Work on the Foundation
Perhaps one thing to note is NOT to start on another project before you compete that one you are working on.
Don’t chase another Ello. Or Periscope. Or even the popular Blab that is said to be outshone mighty Hangouts.
Until you have the fundamentals in place, shinny objects will be a distraction.
Think of completing the essential structures you have committed to put in place before you chase after the next new thing.
There’s no prize for starting in a race. The prize belongs to those who endure to the end.
Focus on consistent work, celebrate mile-stones
You’ll have more success and you’ll feel more fulfilled if you focus on regularly completing mile-stones. Making steady progress will get you there.
By the way, you really don’t need to have every shinny object in your marketing mix to “make it”.
Don’t follow blindly. You are not everyone else. Your business model is not the same and you have different goals.
Do more of what works for your business.
For now, that may mean taking the next step on your current project.
And remember to enjoy the journey.
Complete what you started.
This still works.
