Not to Manipulate
Choice of words is important.
Do you carefully select words to paint a certain picture?
We’ve all been swept off our feet and carried into the world of imagination with powerful copywriting. The power of words used by skillful copy writers influence our decisions and persuade our actions.
It is no wonder that copy writing is a sought-after skill for content marketers and small business owners. Everyday, you’ll see a post on “how to write magnetic headlines” or “templates for writing killer emails”.
All this is good. But wait.
This is not licence to manipulate with clever words.
Any intention to use this powerful wrongly will hurt; both the clients and the service provider.
Some will be tempted to use powerful copywriting skills to accomplish “clever” manipulation. The intentions differ greatly although powerful writing is used in both cases.
Heart-centered marketers don’t use the power of words to manipulate.
Authenticity can’t be faked – for long.
Sincerity can be felt (yes, even over the internet) and will be evident over time.
That’s because we are human beings. We can filter the genuine concern to help from the superficial manoeuvres. Image what happens when clients realize the power of words have been mis-used. Business relationships will be affected.
Let’s keep Heart-Centered Marketing business a Zero Manipulation Zone.
