So you are ready to include content as part of your marketing. Now what?
How do you implement content marketing for your business?
What should you look out for?
How do you set your content strategy?
Who should create and distribute the content?
Don’t like marketing and sales?
You are not alone. Not many like the overt kind of selling or marketing.
Yet every business needs marketing and sales. And it needs to get more sophisticated as buyers get more savvy. Won’t it be great if someone bold and smart can do this for us?
“Content Marketing” is a term you hear often now. But what is it? What has content got to do with marketing? And why should your business pay attention to it?
If you have these questions, tune in on Friday to the Business Radio Station and listen to BFM Radio’ conversation with Louisa Chan.
In a recent Radio Interview with BFM Radio (a Business Radio Channel) we discussed building sustaining, heart-based businesses that you can be proud of, so you have the time and resources to do greater works and serve a higher purpose.
The intervew conversation is based on one of my ebooks “3 Essential Pillars For Growing An Authentic Heart-Centered Business”.

Is Social Media For the Medical and Healthcare Industry In Kuala Lumpur?
The answer depends on 3 things:
1 – What you mean by Social Media
2 – The phase at which your medical practice is at
3 – The phase at which your local council or ministry is at
So yes, medical professionals certainly can incorporate elements of Social Media into their current promotional effort. And there is a responsible and effective way to do that.
There are ways of implementing Social Media Strategies that will get you your desired results. And they are many other ways of using social media that can get you into “undesirable” situations.
So what generally comes to mind when the word Social Media is mentioned
That is Social Media. But there are many other social media platforms. And there are many other ways of using different Social Media platforms
Not using the correct platform in the correct way will not bring you the desirable results. And in the medical industry, this can mean rather serious consequences. Both the Ministry of Health as well as the Medical Councils have strict guidelines that need to be followed.
Depending on the maturity of the industry and the phase at which the business (medical practice) is at, a certain way of using particular social media platforms will serve you better.
So Will You Use Social Media In Your Medical Practice?
– So will you sit, wait out and observe?
– Or will you dive and explore?
– How would you do it if you do not have the time to keep up with developments in industry guidelines and best practices?
– Do you know what social media marketing strategies work best for you at this phase of your medical / health care practice?
– What technology or infrastructure would you need in your case?

About Louisa Chan
Responsible and Ethical Use of Social Media For The Doctors and Pharmacists
If you are a medical professional (doctor, dentist, pharmacist, chiropractor, physiotherapist or massage therapist) you may wonder if there is a way to tap into social media amidst strict professional code of ethics.
There are also terms and conditions when using the different social media platforms to take note of.
Louisa Chan addressed these issues at a seminar at Sime Darby Convention Centre recently and spoke to doctors, pharmacists and nurses. We certainly can make use of Social Media and there are ways to use it responsibly and ethically while increasing foot traffic and customer base.
Delegates participated in discussion involving changing technological trends and human online and buying behavior. We also took a close look at how traditional media differs from new media and why being relevant and non-intrusive is so important!
If you missed the seminar not to worry. I share regular tips in my weekly newsletters addressing these issues. If you like to get a hold of the newsletter, just tell us where to send the tips and resources to.
If you were at the seminar but did not manage to hand in your request for the deck of slides, just contact us here and we will get the slides to you. I posted some photos of the event here, feel free to upload more if you have some on your camera or smart phone!
